What to Expect

At Great Valley, you will find a pastor and a church that loves and cares for people.  You will be welcomed to our ministry regardless of your age, race, or background.  We will do our best to make you feel “right at home.”

You will hear heartwarming songs and hymns that will uplift your spirit.  We have a timeless worship style that is biblical—not contemporary.  You will hear truthful, practical, challenging, and uplifting messages from the Bible.

If you have children, we have a wonderful nursery that is staffed by loving and dedicated workers.  You will be able to enjoy the services of the church worry-free while your children enjoy a special program tailored just for them.

We have Bible classes for the whole family during our 10 a.m. Sunday school time.  With the exception of nursery-age children, families sit together for our preaching services on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.  We also have a Wednesday night Bible study and children’s program at 7 p.m.

If you are driving to our church, you may park in the lot on the west side of the building.  Parking is also available on Brentwood Street and in the shopping center lot across the street from the church.  Bus transportation is also available by calling 209-487-3483.

Many people in our church wear their “Sunday best” to our services.  Of course, this is not required.  We simply want you to attend and be blessed by the services.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the door by an usher, church greeter, or the pastor.  You will be given some information and be shown to the seating area.  If time allows, and you would like, someone from our church can give you a brief tour of our church building.  As a guest, you will be greeted by many of our church members, but you will not be made to stand and speak publicly or be embarrassed in any way.
